Drema Evans, Assessor
Drema served as President of West Virginia Assessor’s Association in 1998. She was chosen “Assessor of the Year” by the organization in 2006. Based on her accomplishments for Raleigh County, she also received the Ralph C. Boyles Memorial Achievement Award from the West Virginia State Tax Department in 1995.
Her other activities include:

- Board of Directors-West Virginia Consolidated Public Retirement Board
- Vestry of St. Stephens Episcopal Church of Beckley
- Board of Directors-Raleigh County Community Action Association
- West Virginia Elected Officials Association
- Raleigh County Democratic Executive Committee
- One of the organizers of the Stoco Communities Reunion and spearheaded the Meals on Wheels Program for the elderly and the museum for the Coal City area.
